Returns & Exchanges

At Alex and Son Jewelers, every piece is handcrafted specifically for you. Because we specialize in custom, made-to-order fine jewelry, our return policy reflects the time, materials, and craftsmanship invested in each creation.

 

Eligibility for Returns

Eligible items may be returned or exchanged within 10 days of delivery, provided that:

  • The item is unworn and unaltered

  • The item is returned in original condition

  • All original packaging, documentation, and accessories are included

  • The item shows no signs of wear, damage, or modification

All returns are subject to inspection prior to approval.

We reserve the right to refuse any return that does not meet these conditions.

 

Items Not Eligible for Return

The following items are final sale and not eligible for return or exchange:

  • Custom or made-to-order jewelry

  • Personalized pieces, including engraved or laser-cut items

  • Ring sizing’s, alterations, or repaired items

  • Restoration or heirloom services

  • Special orders or commissioned work

  • Items marked as final sale

Due to the nature of fine jewelry, custom fabrication, and personalized services, these items cannot be restocked.

 

Return Authorization

All returns require prior authorization.

To request a return, please contact us with your order number and reason for return. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted.

 

Shipping & Insurance

  • Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs

  • We strongly recommend using a fully insured and trackable shipping method

  • We are not responsible for items lost or damaged during return transit

Original shipping fees are non-refundable.

 

Design Approval Responsibility

Prior to production, customers receive design confirmations such as CAD renders, measurements, images, or written specifications.
Approval of these materials constitutes final confirmation that the design is correct.

We strongly encourage reviewing all details carefully—including spelling, dimensions, stone sizes, and proportions—before approving production.

 

Remakes & Corrections

If your piece arrives with a manufacturing defect or does not match the approved design specifications, please contact us within 5 business days of delivery.

At our discretion, we will:

  • Repair the piece, or

  • Remake the piece to match the approved design

This does not include changes of mind, preference shifts, or errors approved during the design phase.

 

Refunds

Approved returns will be refunded to the original form of payment, excluding original shipping fees. Refunds are processed after inspection and approval and may take several business days to appear depending on your payment provider.

 

Exchanges

Exchanges are subject to item availability and approval. Custom, altered, or personalized items are not eligible for exchange.

 

International Orders

International orders are subject to the same return conditions. Duties, taxes, and customs fees are non-refundable and remain the responsibility of the customer.
